[teacherartexchange] plaster and tempera

Hi folks -- has anyone had trouble with tempera paint chipping off
plaster craft? Our 2nd graders made plaster bowls and painted them to
look like Egyptian treasures. The tempera chipped off, especially the
black, and I made it a point to use premier quality paint.
Suggestions, anyone?
