Art is all about higher order thinking skills! Students are constantly contrasting and
comparing, making judgments on their own and others' work (esp. if you're using rubrics and
critiques), applying what they've learned (mixing colors), evaluating the effects of this
color or that shape in their work, analyzing historical works, justifying their choice of
color scheme, creating or designing new works... Find a list of "Bloom" words and you'll see
right away you're already doing this.
