I used to worry about this too. You're only human, sometimes you will get
frazzled. I think once in a while, it's okay to let them see the human side of
you. I use to worry about not losing my cool too, but now when I do "lose'" it
occassionally, they know they've pushed my buttons and they'd best settle down
in a hurry.
Someone once told me that we all have to find our own personal comfort
level--what we will and won't accept in the classroom. You're sorting it out
right now and by next year you'll have a much clearer, and more realistic, list
of expectations.
