Subject: [teacherartexchange] Copper Etched Illustrations of quotes,
sayings, poetry, etc.- new
Hi all,
I uploaded pictures of new sixth grade copper etchings today to our
website. I had them choose a quote, poem, or saying to illustrate. I
also gave them the option to illustrate something that they wrote
themselves. We did these on 6x6 inch copper sheet, 20 gage. I was
blown away by some of their designs. I had some very strong students
this time. To see them:

click on "students"
Scroll down to the bottom of the student page to the media gallery where
you will see them listed. These were rather pricey to do as they ate up
so much etchant. But, they were worth it. Full instructions for copper
etching are in Incredible Art Department's lessons for HS and MS if you
want to try them.
