Great source for illustrators, current and historic (hall of fame) is
the Society of Illustrators site.

Great site for investigation for teachers and students.

In creating lessons about illustration, it is important to note the
GIGANTIC effect of digital media and that very few art directors
commission illustration anymore, when they can run a few effects on a
photograph.
