Even xerox or copy paper will work to try out something over a pen and
ink drawing. It doesn't have to be tracing paper! I have seen many
occasions when kids were "finished" and still needed detail, texture, or
pattern. They could play around freely with the overlay (artists do
this all the time!) and come up with something great that is risk free!
