Another outcome from the Tsunami -

Geologists were in the process of taking readings of the coast line in India
when the tsunami hit. They stayed to study the aftereffects. They
discovered millions of tons of titanium ore that had been washed up on a 300
mile stretch of beach - it is usually mined like panning for gold... a very
long process. Can't even estimate how much it might be worth -
