Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I have 21 students and he subject
is Information Technology - some of them do art. I just thought it would be
good for them to form a friendship and have someone they could write to from
the other side of the world - when they have finished their work.
Shall I forward the kids names and email addresses and their interests to
you. We go on holidays as of Friday 9th April for 2 weeks - so anytime
before then or after then would be great. Let me know,

Nikki, I believe Judi forwarded my email about a cultural exchange. I would
be will to set up email pals with you as I do my unit on culture in art.
The unit I did last time I addressed this topic involved looking at
Aboriginal art online (I have 8 computers in my room, can bring in more) and
discussing how it expressed the culture of the Aboriginal people. The
students then examined objects, images, patterns from their world and
created their own cultural painting. It would be really neat to have them
be able to email students from Australia.
I have 200+ students in art so we may have a few student from each art
section communicate with ours students. I would be very flexible in setting

> Hello All,
> I was wondering if anyone out there taught IT or computing (or Art with
access to computers) to kids around the age of 12/13. If so, I have a class
that would like to have some email friends they can write to. We are in
Perth, Western Australia. I have 21 students who would be interested.
