Block Scheduling w/ team time

My school is also looking over its schedule. We have a six period rotation with each class being 73 minutes. So, we end up having 5 periods a day. It then starts the next day with the period missed the day before. Because of our extenced schedule (only MS in district that does this) teachers are wanting more planning time with their team. I want the schedule to stay the same because I love it! Anyways- Do any of you have block schedule with any set time for special team planning? We were thinking possibly have a different schedule one week per qtr. to fit this special planning time. Any ideas?
