Re: A few new things

Date: Thu Mar 18 2004 - 16:01:50 PST

I have added a few new projects that were finished last week.

Portraits from Art 2 using toned paper and black and white charcoal. Usual
preparation of portrait proportions and such.

Pierced drawing in Art 3 a few more to come these are pencil renderings that
have been cut and colored paper is put behind to be a part of the drawing.
The paper can be in layers and drawn into as well.

Art 1 value studies using instruments and bike parts and? Then contour
drawings made in two or three views. Using tracing paper layout them to over lap
and create new shapes. Value charts with tints and shades, then a value pattern
for directional movement. Painted in tempera.

Coming in a few days a big project with figure studies done in class,
overlapped into outline designs. Filled into with watercolor pencils like the 60's
art from yellow submarine (Beatles). Peter Max etc. They incorporated their own
themes and ideas using words, quotes and surreal images.
