Re: Amanda's Artwork

Amanda, your work cracks me up! I love it! I used to do a series of
clay pieces that were very tongue in cheek, humorous. I love long
titles. Yours are great. I named one piece, "Until Dorothy Met Butch,
Saturday Nights Used To Mean Massaging Her Own Feet." Another one was,
"Pams new aerobics outfit was a bit hit at the gym." another was "Cat
Killer on The Road to Hell". All were animal related. the first was
grand piano box witha rooster serenading a parakeet laying atop the
piano, obviously both are smitten. The aerobics outfit happened when
this pretentious, ostentatious neighbor of mine down the street was
about to turn 40. She went on an exercise binge for awhile, bought
about 50 new aerobics outfits, and that's all she wore for weeks on end.
The last one was a tall box with a mangey dog at the bottom, flames
burning under the road that led off into the distance, on top of the
jar, the handle was a cloud in the sky with a cat on it. I really love
your work. You've really got something great going there!
