I do this for my kindergarten architecture unit. I go to Home Depot, the
1/2" square trim is so inexpensive...I also use dowels, of various dimensions.
Sometimes a "dad" will cut it for me...although I have a miter saw I use to
chop away. I learned a tip.....if you tape a bunch of pieces together, you can
cut a lot at one time and the pieces don't fly every where. Also the kids LOVE
LOVE LOVE to pull off the tape!!!
