RE: Artist of the Month -- Viewzone chewing gum painting

Date: Tue Mar 09 2004 - 05:52:14 PST

mmmmmm....I think I just lost my breakfast appetite. Masticated art????
What else haven't we done yet???? I'm afraid to think of it. I once
had a kid make a bubble gum chair in my room. He covered the chair with
various wrappers, stuck D-hall slips on it for chewing gum in class, had
wrinkled wrappers all around the legs of the chair and added ABC gum to
the bottom. One or two pieces would have been funny....We are talking
wads and wads of of ABC gum. THe entire class was grossed out. And
then, there was the power trip of his being able to chew gum in class
for his project. Then he tried to cover it with papier mache paste
(Ross) to make it "sanitary", and it turned milky colored...GROSS! I'm
still not over the image of that nasty stuff on the bottom of his chair.
Sticky, gooey, milky colored grossness. I shoud send him this website,
