I didn't rebel in the art room, but I sure did rebel in the history
class taught by the coach who cared more about football than teaching
the class. He never lectured about anything that was not in the book.
If you read the book you would pass whether you went to class or not.
If you had half a brain, his tests were so easy that you would ace them.
Guess what...I didn't go to class very much. He never took roll. It
worked great for a long time, til one day...near my prom, as my
boyfriend (current husband of 31 years) and I were sneaking back in from
the parking lot, we were busted by the attendance office lady coming
back from lunch. She cried because she liked us so much, but of course,
she had to turn us in. 75 other kids were caught skipping classes that
week!
