As I sit here in my comfy So. FL home, I know some of you had a quite chilly
winter. I would definitely trade comfy for a trip north to the NAEA but funds
are low (and so am I.)
For those of you who attended the Miami NAEA last march, you would be
interested to know that the huge Fountainbleau Hotel is GONE. Dust.
Demolished! Kaput! That hotel has been the hallmark at the Beach for decades.
Presidents stayed there as well as movie celebrities. My hubby and I took our
of town friends on a trip down to South Beach last week, and as we turned the
corner on Collins Ave, we saw sky where the hotel was!! I was shocked!
Think of me (and I my art Bud, Patti) as you join together for fun and food.
I remember meeting: Mary Reid, Maggie White, Carolyn Roberts, Bunki, Ken
Schwab, Rosie Riordan, Judy Gr., Judi Nagel, and many more that are faces but
names seem to leave me blank. (No fault of yours.) Aw! I wish I could go. It
would be a great place to be, after my Dad's passing three weeks ago. I hope
that next year, I will make it there as I change positions at school and they
can help a little with the funds. Enjoy!
