I have a lesson on Mandalas that I have successfully done with my fifth
graders. (There are many Mandala sites on the Internet) The results are
beautifully rich, intricately patterned orbs. I leave out a lot of the
religious connections...(school no-no) and it's about color, pattern,
individuality, world, infinity, symmetry, concentric circles. A definite math
connection. We also do rotating shape designs.
