I use "Linnea in Monet's Garden" with 3rd Grade to introduce his work and
before we begin our Monet project.
The video "KingTut: Tomb of Treasure" has worked well for 5th Grade.
"Squiggles, Dots and Lines" was recommended by this list and I've used it
this year for the first time. It works well with any elementary grade and
really psyches the kids up for drawing. It is also one that is good to
leave with a sub.
Another video I leave for subs is "How To Visit An Art Museum."
All of these videos are about 30 minutes long.
I've ordered a couple of videos for next year that helps them identify
different artists' styles--but I can't remember the name of it right now. I
would enjoy hearing what videos work well for the elementary level.
