Switching is very disruptive to schedules...it messes up speech, special ed
and of course Fine Arts and PE. Kids do better if there is consistency in
their day. IF switching was really for the benefit of the children, then I
would be more open to it....but the real issue seems to be counting planning
minutes...and since the classroom gets twice as many as I do and worries that
I might have some extra time a couple of times in the year ... frankly I'm
not too open to changing. ....I am going to keep the integrity of my
program..... It's petty stuff...and it gets to me.
