In my district in Texas we are also facing cuts. They say it caused by
three things: decreasing budget due to the Robinhood Law, decreasing
population here, and a new law that requires 135 minutes of PE per child
per week.

Our priorities in this culture are so mixed up. No wonder we have the
problems we do.
