The classroom teachers who have students with aides assigned to them, treat them like secretaries in my building. They run errands, make copies, help manage the class....it is really awful! I was even told by an aide..that pretty much the expectation is to do whatever you are asked to do. Also....they drag their charges along with them.....so you see the special needs kids hanging out at the copier, in the office getting mail...etc....really terrible!
