I, too forgot about circular weaving. One year I did
circular weaving on cardboard, having them weave both
sides. We then 'cut out' the cardboard, and stuffed the
weavings with fiberfill, voila, a pillow. A smaller
version can be made, and voila, a tree ornament for the
holidays.
