Where is your web site? I'd love to see the birds! I'm making frogs with
my second graders using clay. We make the body using a clay oval slab,
then wad up a piece of paper, place it in the middle and fold the clay
over to make a taco. This forms the body. Don't close it all the way to
make a mouth. Next we attach the eyes, arms and legs. Once everyone has
done this, they are free to go a step farther. They've made hats,
glasses, tongues, etc. for their frogs. After firing, we'll paint them.
Most want to use wild colors to make the poisonous looking frogs. This
is probably not a new idea for you, but I hope it helps.
