I use the book loosely with my kindergarten and some of the lessons with
first and second. It does help the children become more confident at
realistic drawing and does not interfere with the more representational type
of art. I've found that kids I've had since kdg are more comfortable with
drawing and creating.
  I use the lessons where they fit and round out with lessons on color,
texture, shape, art history and types of art(with kindergarten). There is
a website that you can go to. Janet
