matting AP Studio Art

The matting artwork thread got me thinking about the actual pieces we send
in for the AP Studio exam - how do you all mount and matt them? What about
work on canvas? What kind of backing do you use with your drawings, etc.
and also do you tape the matt board to the backing, or just along the top,
so it can flip up? Thanks for the info!
