I have my middle school kids mount their art on constructions paper( usually).
We talk about presentation of work and then a demo. They generally use glue
sticks or Tri- Tex, rarely Elmers, because of warping.
As it gets closer to our annual "big show" , I have my 2 "art assistants" ( 2-
8th gr. girls who come in weekly at study hall time to help with stuff), do the
labels for all of the work , so they look uniform. I haven't gotten to the
point of trusting a parent to hang the show, but they help out in many other
ways for our Art Fair night. Having the work already mounted by the kids is a
great help though. I am lucky that the wall where most of the art is hung is a
staple wall!
