Last year before our art show at the mall, I taped loops of string to the back of each hanging work. Everything was pretty light weight (mainly just matboard) and I thought it would hold. HOWEVER, it was a fiasco--most stuff fell at some point.
This year I really, really want to avoid this and so I'm seeking the collective wisdom of the group. Here's the question:
***What sort of fastener or whatever can I put on the back of artwork (some matboard and some shrinkwrap over matboard) that will allow it to hang securely onto a drapery pin hook?***
We'll be using the display stands (fabric covered screen panels) furnished by the mall and the hooks are the only way to hang stuff. I'd really prefer NOT to drill a hole into the mat to run a wire through it, but I'm almost to that point!! The show will be April 16-22.
Also, I've added some new stuff to my website: http://www.art-rageous.net and will be adding more as time permits. :-)
