Penland is wonderful. Like never-never land, though. I spent two marvelous
weeks there, a few years ago. You wouldn't be able to commute each day from
Hilton Head though, it's a bit too far. The studios are open all night. The
place is beautiful. Many good craftspersons living all around the area.
