When I taught, I did it both ways and I found that you have to update parents
as to what you're doing in art if you SAVE the artwork until the end of the
year. I would always make sure I had a "blurb" in the monthly school
newsletter which told parents what each grade level studied and the completed
work that was entered into the portfolio during that month. This helped me
