It turns out that your muttering is timely for me, Larry... am in the middle
of sorting out some of art eds history according to Smith. I think of myself
as largely Lowenfeldian and haven't full appreciation of what the formalists
are selling. I like my students to make some art... to dance... to act. Just
because we haven't created a standardized arts test, doesn't mean we aren't
delivering a substantial arts program. Rock on. Peter
