Herein lies the issue of development and the ability of the student, as well
as the teacher, to understand how to employ technique. You cannot separate
the artist from the personal aspect of his technique. The teacher, however,
must be able to demonstrate technique in a way that recognizes the wide range
of interpretation among his students. Peter
