Judi,
Thanks for the information. I would like to hear any of your project ideas. I love using Photoshop and have spent a lot of time working with it to create mixed media collages. I have used t-shirt transfer papers extensively to transfer Photoshop images onto various surfaces such as canvas, fabric, rice papers, watercolor paper, etc. and then worked on top of the image. If you're interested in any of those plans, let me know. Becky

Becky,
I am currently teaching photography to 10th, 11th and 12th graders. I also teach the yearbook. We are beginning to place digital images in PageMaker for the yearbook. I am trying to introduce a new course next year called Commercial Art. We have PageMaker, Illustrator and Photo shop. I am becoming more and more comfortable with Photoshop and I am very familiar with PageMaker. I am in the middle of planning the curriculum. I spent three weeks at Penland this past summer studying Infrared, the physics of pinhole photography, lens and created a 4' x 6' photo mosaic. I am planning on taking a course this summer that involves digital imaging. I am more than happy to share any project ideas with you. Take a look at my web site and go to Photography Students' Pictures.

Hi,
I am taking a graduate course using traditional and digital photography
in the art classroom. One of our assignments is to talk with educators who
are using one, the other, or a combination of traditional and digital
photography in their classrooms. I would love to hear from anyone who is
using photography in their computer or art classes.
I don't personally have access to a darkroom in my school and am leaning
towards using digital cameras, scanners, and the computers with my students.
I am teaching them to work in Photoshop and we're going to be doing computer
transfers on fabric to create a large collage. I'd be interested in
exchanging information. Thanks.
