There's a cute children's book done by Anits and Arnold Lobel (ON MARKET
STREET) that is related to the alphabet. The letters are people made up of
something that starts with the letter, like A-apples. The hands, face and
feet are normal. I used my Archimbaldo book and this book with my first grade
class. They made a full body self-portrait using things that started with the
first letter of their first name. The drew everything and colored it in, but a
collage from magazines would be fun also. It was really fun. The students
started out with a stick figure except for face, hands and feet and added the
to the lines. The small book I use on Arcimboldo with them is titled: THE
LIFE AND WORKS OF ARCIMBOLDO by Diana Craig. JH
