Hi, it is an Amaco kiln origionally I found it in the Hammett catalogue. ( But
I had used an ancient version of it in NY) But the Company is close to here,
so I think the school construction/project manager was able to call direct. I
also called and asked questions.
Amaco Standard Economy Electric Kiln EC-55-
I also got a 'vent -a -kiln system hooked up to it.- I got it at the right
time, during remodeling of our school
fire chamber is 18X18X18, Three phase/toggle. with Select Fire* Controller
instead of a manual switch .
Let me know if you have any other questions- It's a top-loader. I have about
500 students and it's the right size for me. With the vent a kiln, the
projects are cool enough to remove by the next afternoon. You can program it
to a cone setting( without the cones) or to a temp-(same dif), The Select fire
option, which I had no choice about but was happy once I got over the initial
intimidation of the unit, allows for a delayed start. I am too paranoid to use
that so far. I only fire it when I know I'll be in the building.
