Dear Jan,
Congratualations! I knew you would make it. Now, I only wish there were
more like you, then I could learn as much from my student teachers as they
learn from me.
Sincerely, Leah

It's funny you said that Leah. I have been the one to teach them new stuff
(I don't mind). I went by and showed my old co-op at the other school the
Bunki pantyhose wire sculpture idea, and he is going to do it. I went to
Walmart just now and I think they will donate all of the knee highs for both
schools and I got wire hangers from the cleaners for both schools. Now are
you ready for this? The school where I am at now just got a grant to do a
wall mosaic for the butterfly garden (created by the gifted students). I
have all of the equipment an experience of doing one (they hired an artist
last time; paid 1500.00 for a mosaic in the hall). The gifted teacher in
charge has involved me totally, (that's OK). However Friday (after I showed
her pictures of my stained glass ball bathroom sink, crumbled paperbag
bathroom walls, and painted kitchen floor) her eyes lit up and she said,"Now
we have somebody who can do that thing we have been wanting to do for so
long! My co-op said what? She said, LET HER PAINT THE GIRLS BATHROOM LIKE A
WALTER ANDERSON MURAL!!!!!"
Excuse me, but that is where I draw the line.. That bathroom is gross and
plus I am not slave labor. I don't think it will come to that though b/c it
will take a while for the mosaic in the garden. My last co-op was real laid
back and I pushed myself, but here it is the opposite. I am pretty tough
though. I wish I could be a student teacher for you guys. I know I would be
the one to learn. Thanks.
Janice
