I was told today that I have "free time all morning and I just busy myself"
from an ignorant 4thgrade teacher. My response was a written one educating
her about my schedule and all I do in a typical day, as wellas all the side
projects that are ongoing always throughout the year. I told her she was
factually inaccurate and very insulting and that she needed to treat me
respectfully or she would be biting the hand that feeds her. I am a tenured
person, 6yrs on the job, only art teacher to ever make tenure in this sites 8
yr history previous to my arrival. I am sick of the inaccuracies and
backstabbing that go on. My approach is, educate them, if it continues I'll
go to my principal. She doesn't want to lose me and is a very reasonable
person when it comes to matters of professionalism and respect. I know where
you're coming from...
