    Other Specific Duties: Provides leadership & direct consultant

    Develops, coordinates & administers appropriate statewide planning &
    training activities for visual & performing arts education.
    Participates in
    the development & implementation of standards, assessment & other
    initiatives
    in the area of visual and performing arts across disciplines.
    Develops,
    coordinates, & administers state grant programs that involve program
    planning
    & design, grant writing, budget, grants management & preparation of
    grant
    reports; coordinates the expenditures of funds as they relate to fine
    arts
    programs. Develops publications, programs, guidelines & projects to
    meet
    assessed needs for visual & performing arts education programs.
    Answers
    correspondence, writes reports, develops & submits budget requests &
    manages
    appropriate fiscal resources. Serves as liaison & agency rep.with
    other
    offices, agencies, community organizations, colleges and universities
    in
    fine
    arts programs. Reviews & disseminates information about resources.

    State of South Carolina Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:
    A
    Bachelor's Degree And Experience In Education, Management Or Business.
    (note:
    additional requirements may be applicable for individual positions in
    the
    employing agency).

    Additional Requirements: A Master's Degree And Five (5) Years
    Experience In
    Education, Management, Or Business.

    Note: If any additional requirements are listed above applicants must
    also
    meet those Additional Requirements to be considered for the position.

    Preferred Qualifications: An In-Depth Knowledge Of Arts Education
    (Art,
    Dance, Theater, And Music) And Current Teaching Methods. Note: These
    Preferred Qualifications are desirable, but not mandatory, for
    applicants to
    be considered qualified for the position
