    It depends on the class mood, if antsy it may be Mozart; if lethargic(monday
    mornings) maybe some jazz. Also depends on the activity. Have found that
    when first working with clay the sounds of "The Anvil Chorus" go well for
    beating the clay. The kids used to call it "Pizza Music" because of some old
    TV commercial. We are fortunate here in the Buffalo area to have a nice jazz
    station and a classical staion( both listener supported) as well as some
    good stations from Toronto to supplement my tapes, etc. My 8th graders like
    the soundtrack from "The Big Chill" as well but generally find my tastes in
    music to ecletic for them. But too bad. It's my class, my room and my
    sanity.
