Hold your ground, It's what is best for the students that is important.
Write up your valid reasons to have longer art periods. Give it to everyone
and have a meeting with the principal or whomever makes the final decision.
Include the other specials from the beginning. You could have every
class have
45 minutes of art weekly if they hire an additional 1/2 time art teacher.
