I use Juno for free Internet. No spam, and they have a lot of local numbers.
When I am connected to Juno, I can get into my Netscape but for some reason
can't use Netscape mail. This might be my fault, in my preferences
somewhere. I can receive it but not send it. No problem receiving in the
Juno screen. And absolutely no spam at all.
If you just need to pick up mail when away from your computer and don't need
dial up access, I'd go with a Hotmail account. You'll get a lot of spam at
that address, but you won't know it if you don't use it daily. You can set
your Hotmail to get your pop mail from other servers.
