i purchased maxmix from nasco 2 yrs ago, in my 8th grade classes we did a
sculputr project on an armature of a human figure about 10 in tall on a
piece of wood, i had one of the maintenance men come to the 8th grade
classes with his drill. he demonstrated to the students how to drill a
hole in the wood each student was invited to come back one at a time to
drill hole in thier base, they could opt for him to do it or do it
themselves out of 90 students only one opted to have him do it, the
principal came down first to watch our setup and to explain to the kids the
importance of goggles etc. then she proceeded to do one herself it set a
nice tone for no goofing around several of the kids got into a
conversation with mike abolut their experiences in working with pokwere
tools, one kid had bulilt a cottage with his dad etc.... we made 90
statuettes it looked nice tosee the action figurs then spray painted wdith
fleck stone.. it was nice but rather an expensive project the maxmix set up
quicly and did crack when stressed i liked it but now i do the dame
poroject with plaster guaze much cheaper and a very similiar style for this
project annie from ohio wherre lastweek it hit77 degrees then snowed 5
inches over the dweekend go figure
