    I agree! If the regular Sped. classroom teachers have an aide, why can't we?
    I NEVER take the Sped. students without their aide. If she or he is absent I
    have the teacher sit in the class. Too bad. SHe loses her free time. Tough.
    I don't have free time like the classroom teacher does. Half the time I
    work during lunch. Our special ed. kids are the most violent and anti-
    social kids in the school. They vandalize, threaten, beat up--you name
    it-they do it. I will not "teach" them without an aide.
    On the other hand, if the sped. kids take their meds, they can do pretty good
    in class and have done some awesome things in my art class.
