I have bought T-shirts for about $2.50 a piece in Price Club. You get a package of 6 for about $14. I think they were Fruit of the Loom. I used them with 4th graders. We used those fabric markers and they turned out ok. You might even try a Value City or some other discount store. Not sure if you have these stores near you. Hope this helps.
