I teach elem. and I try never to say no. The kids know I prefer they get the
directions on what we are doing instead of running off at the begining of
class, but I do have some teachers that just will not let the kids go and so
they are bursting when they get to me. I have a boy and girl pass so I know
when someone is out of the room. The bathrooms are right beside my room so
they can go without asking me while they are working. They know if they take
more than two minutes, I'll come looking. I had a little girl wet her pants
last year when I asked her to wait, so I let them go if they really need to
and I just say get the project directions from a friend if they miss it at
the beginning of class, when they return. Janet
