I live in Maryland, about 15 miles out of Washington DC. One Middle school
teacher meets her kids on designated Saturdays at the various museums for
guided tours.
We have a pretty good subway system here. Being the worrier I am, I'd be
stressed
about kids who show up without a parent. Also, I'm not sure I'd put myself
in the position of liability. Perhaps if several parents or teachers agreed
to chaperone for
kids who might show up alone, I'd consider it. Think about it very
carefully.
