You what is worse----when they say " my Mom say's this class doesn't count"
EWWWWW, my blood pressure rises. If the kids says it, at least he/she is there
and I can nicely explain why it counts and is a very important part of their
education. ( In fact that is one my journal questions for them- why is art
important in education?) The parents who make THAT comment are the ones that
often don't show at conference or open house.
When I do get a student that says that- "my mom says" thing, I usually tell them,
"that to be a responsible good student , you need to do well in all classes, not
just some".
