Do outside work. Make and fly kites. Do nature sketches and watercolors. Do
chalk drawings on the sidewalk. (Actually I did this with high school
students
and they loved it, we turned the parking lot, with all the kids and teachers
cars in it, into an underwater fantasy. >>

If you have leftover plaster of paris (I know that pariscraft is different,
but IF you do, add leftover tempera paint, stir, put into toilet paper tubes
that have been sealed at one end with a baggie and rubber band, and when it
dries, you have nice big round chalks. Fun for the kids. Fun to carve, too,
depending on the consistency of your plaster. Read the directions to mix
differently, thick or thin. Just an idea. Always pinchin' pennies, here. :)
