Martin, of course, what was I thinking! Everything I've done today I've had
to do over!
I first became aware of his work while I was at the UW-Madison and went up
to Minneapolis and saw his columns there back in the mid 80's when they were
building the gardens at the Walker. In a review Peter Plagens once referred
to his work as "unapologetically modernist" -it was one of his Time or
Newsweek (one or the other) reviews so likely in reference to the show you
mentioned. "Sublime", as you write, is also an apt description.
