Well....I listened to you all spread the word about Wong's FIRST DAY OF
SCHOOL withOUT all that much interest since I'm an experienced and rather
decrepit teacher. Hummm. I looked up decrepit to make sure I spelled it
correctly and it said..."de-crep-it (adj.).Weakened, worn out, impaired, or
broken down by old age, illness, or hard use."
Yep...that's me. But I digress.
Anyway....I saw this book at B&Noble two weeks ago and picked it up.
Thumbed through it and it looked pretty interesting. Bought it to share
with a new teacher friend of mine. It's quite fabulous for anyone in their
first or second year. I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone unsure as to how to
actually "teach", get started, or improve their methods. It really SHOULD
be required reading for all those starting out in the teaching arena. Wish
it would have been accessible YEARS ago. Toodles........
