Joseph, in my opinion, quality of artwork has nothing to do with the medium
or the form of expression. Otherwise a monkey could be turned loose with the
"proper" medium and whatever the monkey did would be considered good art in
your guru's terms. Good art demonstrates unity among the art elements and
principles of design regardless of the medium or method of expression. No, I
don't jump on the band wagon of every guru who makes a pronouncement. I tend
to think for myself. Quality has nothing to do with the intent of the artist.
Intent can only be communicated by the artist but the product conveys the
message of quality or lack thereof.
