Today I missed the opening parade for the Red Earth Festival in downtown
OKC, with the thousand or so dancers and 114 tribes and bands participating.
So, since I can't go, I'll do my bit by sharing these links:
http://www.okccvb.org/rederth1.html
Click on "more about Red Earth" at the bottom of the page

http://powersource.com/gallery/objects/dance.html
a good resource explaining the individual dance types

http://www.redearth.org/
The Red Earth site, under construction but good to save for future
reference. The beautiful photograph is a detail of this year's poster. It
lists some of the 114 participating tribes and bands.

Here is an excellent page of links I found via the Seminole tribe's site -
it includes web pages for several tribes/nations:
http://www.cowboy.net/native/index.html
It includes a link from which you can search for native events in your area.
